Here at United we believe in working together with our fellow churches to serve the community. We receive regular donations and coordinate with local churches to help those in need. Cornerstone Community Housing, a community and faith-based 501(c) (3) nonprofit, was incorporated in 1993 and is a recognized mission of the United Church of Christ. The organization was the vision of Rev. Eugene Bartell, former pastor of First United Evangelical United Church of Christ, and several persons who volunteered at The Supper Club, a feeding program at the church.
